Available – Danish Egg with Brindle.
This piece has a bit of a story behind it. A few years ago, my wife and I were out celebrating our anniversary when we got a panicked call from our eldest: the massive tree next to our home had fallen during a snowstorm—right onto the house. We packed up and drove through the storm to find a 75-foot tree had turned the side of our home into a hot dog bun. It crushed the rooms where our kids sleep. Miraculously, no one was hurt.
I saved a few pieces of that tree—not to remember the event itself, but to end the story differently. Now it’s being made incorporated into my pipes as a way to retell it’s story. A reminder that not every ending is an ending—and that we live in a world shaped by a redemptive God created in his image to partner with Him to rewrite endings and change the narrative.
Also, I love this color pallete. The stummel isn’t quite black, but several layers of cordovan that showcases hints of red in the light.
